3 Quadriceps VMO Strengthening Exercises (for Any Level)

The vastus medialis oblique (VMO) is a small knee muscle right near the knee joint. Doctors and physiotherapists often claim that you cannot train the VMO directly. They are WRONG. To train the VMO directly, you need to work the knee into deep flexion and then extend the knees by a few degrees. The VMO gets stronger when you extend the knee from a deeply flexed position. This video shows you multiple progressions and regressions for VMO strengthening.
